Intriguing clashes

Interestingly, the highest profile clash int he UEFA Champions' league quarterfinals seems least on edge with Arsenal looking great against Juve.
Milan were held to a fighting nil draw, and so were Barcelona. Inter had to fight back to keep Villareal at bay, but the Spaniards do have a valuable away goal.
April 4th and 5th should be good.

A Note on Hand Sanitizers

Apparently, hand sanitizers (gels, foams, etc.) need to have between 60-95% alcohol for them to be effective. If it is lower, then "washing your hands with this only serves to mobilize the bacteria by moving them around".

Just got off cricinfo's commentary feed. Australia scored 434 in a one day game? The first 400+ score ever. Better than the previous best by over 50 runs. And against quality opposition like South Africe. And what was that? Is it possible? No, you cannot be serious! South Africa also posted a 400+ score? And won the game? 870+ runs in 100 overs? Lewis conceded 113 runs in 10 overs?

Predictability and Oscar

Here's an excerpt from Time magazine's guide to betting on the Oscars:

... and guess who won the best foreign film!!

Tsotsi had three things going for it: It was relevant (in the broader social sense), it wasn't threatening to the western media and it was written by a nobel laureate. Talk about a closed community!
