COPA + TOUR

One of the big advantages of following as many sports as I do - is that there's always something to look forward to! I am definitely someone who lives for anticipation. And never is it magnified as much as it is in sport. The start of a tournament, a season or a competition - is precisely that. A start. A clean slate. Endless possibility. Anticipation.

I had barely recovered from binge sport-viewing last Sunday (F-1, Wimbledon finals AND Euro finals), wondering what was next, and if I had to wait a long, long time till August brought with it the Olympics; that I realized that when I have cable at home, and internet radio to bring me commentary from the corners fo the world - I didn't have to settle!

Bring on Copa America and the Tour de Lance (oops.. France)!!

Cheers.

Euro, Wimbledon, 9/11 and others

- Portugal is finally showing promise. But Greece is definitely the team of the tournament. Regardless of the final result.
- Sharapova, Myskina (and all without the Belgians). Finally, depth in the womens' game (no pun intended ;)). Great news.
- Watched Farenheit 9/11 today. Good movie. Showed that lefties can make propaganda too. But if you can't beat 'em join 'em. Gripping narrative, and long due, I hope it can knock Bush off the election pad. And I think it was released at absolutely the best time. Only wish Moore had got his facts straight first (only one congressman's son in the forces? Senate recount? depicting a happy, prosperous iraq under Saddam? No sir! Even pro-democrats shouldn't stoop to misinformation).
